Amarula Cream | Amarula Lapa
Amarula Cream has the distinct honour of being one of South Africa’s most successful exports and the Amarula Lapa is where it all begins, and no Amarula experience is complete without a visit to the home of Africa’s most luxurious cream cocktail.
Situated some 12km south west of Phalaborwa (in South Africa’s Limpopo Province), the Amarula Lapa is a hive of activity year-round and plays a pivotal role in the production process.
During the harvest season, local residents travel to the Amarula Lapa to deliver the marula fruit they have collected. For the rest of the year the Amarula Lapa becomes the hub of various income-generating programmes.
