In positioning Amarula Cream as being synonymous with the very best that Africa has to offer, Amarula Cream conducted a search for the best coffee roasters to develop an African blend of coffee that would best symbolise the earthiness and energy of Africa and perfectly complement Amarula Cream.
In travelling on this journey, Amarula Cream met up with Origin, the artisan roasters, based in Cape Town South Africa, who collaborated with Amarula Cream to produce the first edition of sumptuous drinks and begin a tradition.
An African mocha … a dark indulgent experience combining the headiness of pure chocolate with roasted African coffee and rich Amarula overtones… Afro-Chino…. A fusion of warmed milk and Amarula Cream in a bowl of welcoming African coffee… So many delicious ways to serve the perfect cup - and still the wellspring of coffee concepts has yet to run dry.
When it comes to the perfect cup of coffee, the coffee bean quality is the most important of all. The African Coffee roast is a sultry blend of perfectly roasted hand picked coffee beans, cultured from Africa’s premier plantations that make a rich, fragrant coffee and when infused with Amarula in various ways, evokes visions of sophisticated luxury combined with the raw energy and passion that is modern Africa.

Origin’s dedication to enhancing fine coffee and worldwide, made them the driving force in launching the South African Barista Championships, a qualification round for the World Barista Championship in which they won 1st, 3rd and 4th place.
